New eReads Service

Download eReads & eAudio

South Ayrshire Council’s Library Service has launched a new free eReads service, which can be accessed from home.   All you need is a computer, an internet connection, a valid South Ayrshire Library card and PIN.

Laptop and mobile deviceseReads are downloadable books and audio books, which you can read or listen to, on your computer and / or on a mobile device such as an ebook reader, ipod, iphone, or MP3 Player.    An ideal way to take the latest best seller on holiday or to keep children entertained on a long journey!

Lady with pink ereaderA range of books is available, from best sellers such as Karin Slaughter’s  “Blind sighted” and Stephanie Meyer’s “Eclipse” to Roald Dahl’s “Fantastic Mr Fox” .  Some eReads are available as an eBook (EPUB) and some as an audio book (WMA).

You can browse the eReads website or search it for specific books. Up to 4 titles can be borrowed at any one time.  Choose how long you want to download each one for – 7 days, 14 days or 21 days.  If a book is checked out, you can put it in your “wish list” and you will be e-mailed when it comes available.

    Cool…I’ve downloaded some already. Great for lazy Sunday days when your bored and the library is shut . I know what will be on my Christmas list this year!!!! A Bebook Reader or an Ipad if anyone wants to splash out on me 😉
