Readers’ Day at Carnegie

Everyone who came along to the Readers’ Day at Carnegie Library on Sunday had a great day out. Our avid readers got to enjoy talks from local author Dr Tom Smith, Scottish writer of poetry and prose Janet Paisley and Scottish Crime Novelist Aline Templeton. There was also the opportunity to try out various makes of eBook reader thanks to eBook publisher Jim Brown. In between lunch, cream teas and chatting about books we also held some competitions, book related of course!

Congratulations to our competition winners listed below…

Carnegie Readers’ Day was both interesting and enjoyable with a very varied spread from crime fiction to poetry and bringing us right up to date with e readers. Something there for everyone. I would like to say a big thank you to all the Carnegie staff who made it a very successful day.
