What do you love best about libraries?

It’s National Libraries Day on Saturday 7th February and we would love to hear exactly what your local library means to you. Better still – why not take a picture next to your favourite bookshelf in the library. You can post them on our Facebook page or to our Twitter account mentioning @salibraries using the hashtags #shelfie and #NLDScot.

If you don’t have a social media account you can always email us carnegie.library@south-ayrshire.gov.uk using the subject heading NLD15, or leave a comment below.

We have FREE author events and craft sessions lined up all next week, but don’t forget about the free services your library provides all year round:

  • Audio books
  • Bookbug story sessions
  • Books
  • Craft activities
  • Computer courses
  • eBooks
  • Job clubs
  • Magazines
  • Newspapers
  • Internet access
  • Access to Ancestry and *FindMyPast (*from our local history PCs in Carnegie Library)

So don’t forget to use it, love it and join it! Not a member yet? Find out how to join, you can even register online.
