Girvan Library had a very busy week with visits from Girvan Primary and Sacred Heart Primary to explore the Next of Kin handling kit. The children enjoyed looking through the WW1 memorabilia, and were impressed by Alanis McWilliam who was happy to show her knitting skills as she added to the commemorative scarf.
The library also held a successful drop-in coffee afternoon last Thursday. Members of the public were invited to look through the Next of Kin kit, and browse the photographic display of Girvan in days gone by. While enjoying the afternoon, library member Isobel Wilson also took the time to add to the memory scarf by knitting a couple of rows.
