Symington Primary 3s & 4s cast their vote for the CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal

Tomorrow the nation goes to the polls to vote on a pretty important decision, but an even more important vote has been taking place at Symington Library’s mini ‘polling station’.

The winner has already been announced for the CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal , but we had to share these great photos of Symington Primary 3s & 4s in action voting for their favourite.

The children have been looking at and reading all the books from the shortlist over the last few weeks and it was very difficult to pick favourites as they were all so fabulous! At the final count the winning vote in Primary 3 was ‘There’s a Bear in my Chair’ while Primary 4 opted for ‘Sam and Dave Dig a Hole’ – well, when it comes to artwork it’s all very subjective! I wonder if anyone picked the winner…

You can find out all about the 2016 winners or explore the books on the CILIP Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medal shortlists.
