Celebrate Bookbug Week with us this May

April 27, 2018

Bookbug goes Wild at the Citadel

Citadel Leisure Centre, South Harbour Street, Ayr KA7 1JB
Monday 14 May, 10am – 12 noon

Our friends at the Citadel Leisure Centre have invited us to join them to go wild!  There will be bouncy castles, a ball pond, puzzles, toys, balance beams, football and lots more for you to do.  You will also be able to practice your road safety skills!

Bookbug Mini Makers do Matisse

Rozelle House, Rozelle Park, Monument Road, Ayr KA7 4NQ
Tuesday 15 May, 10.30 am – 2.30 pm

Rozelle House has invited all Bookbug’s little friends to come out to the park for a fun filled time.  Take in a Bookbug Session before exploring Matisse Magic Garden – tents, a den, mirrors, ribbon weaving and lots of sensory surprises.  Then join us in the gallery to view the Matisse exhibition before creating your very own masterpiece. You might even be lucky enough to see Big Bookbug. Why not explore the park and find the Gruffalo Tree and the World War One carvings while you are there? Bookbug Sessions and Matisse Magic Garden will be outdoors (weather permitting) but we have contingency plans!

These FREE events are suitable for children under 5 years. There is no need to book, just come along!

Bookbug’s Big Giggle at Symington Library

May 22, 2017

We had a Higgledy Piggeldy Day at Symington Library to get some giggles for Bookbug Week and we had some very original fashion choices! We had tickle rhymes, a photo booth to get a souvenir snap with Bookbug, a mask making craft, a story called I Love You Just The Way You Are by Tammi Salzano (it seemed quite appropriate) and of course BUBBLES!!

The prize for best Higgledy Piggledy costume went to Emelie and Callan – superb costumes!

Thank you all the mums and tots who came along and joined in wonderfully.
