Girvan and District History Society presents “Bygone Girvan”

March 3, 2017

Monday 20 March 2017, 2.30pm

As seen through the lens of Jack Coleman’s camera during the early to mid 1900’s.

This is a rare opportunity to see the town and its inhabitants while they are taking part in street parades and celebrating the town’s tercentenary since being awarded the town charter.

Marvel at the project in building a cairn on the summit of the Byne Hill. Also included are films depicting Girvan as a tourist attraction. Come along and see who you can recognise, perhaps a grandparent here or there.

As the audience numbers are strictly limited to the first thirty guests, please reserve a seat by booking a ticket either by telephone 01465 712813, or by visiting Girvan Library, Montgomery Street, Girvan KA26 9HE.
