Local artist and cartoonist Ronnie Russell visited Troon Library this week for a cartoon workshop. The children got straight to work, and with Ronnie’s expert help to hand it wasn’t long before they had created a fantastic collage of all the fun things they like to do over the summer holidays.

Cartooning at Carnegie

There was much licking of pencils and frowning with concentration when Ronnie Russell put the children through their paces at the Cartoon Workshop on Friday 27th May.  Sketching the facial expressions was easy compared to drawing the bodies and as for the feet, well lets just not go there!  I should have made them all draw and sign a cartoon for me as you never know who might be famous in later years.

This was just one of the great events, held in Carnegie Library to celebrate the Burns an’ a’ that Festival.
